CT thermostat
The CT thermostat supports temperature control of heating circuits in safe or hazardous environments.
CT Thermostat
The CT thermostat is an adjustable ON/OFF temperature control device consisting of a liquid-filled sensing bulb connected to an electrical switch via a capillary tube. As the temperature rises, the liquid expands, causing the switch to open. When the temperature drops, the liquid contracts and the switch closes.
Key Features
-
Available in three wide-range temperature settings
-
Stainless steel sensing bulb and capillary tube
-
Optional over-temperature lockout feature
-
Certified for use in hazardous areas Zone 1 and Zone 2 (CT-FL version)
-
Housings suitable for gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC
-
Optional stainless steel armored capillary
Applications
Capstats are ideal for controlling surface temperatures—such as on pipes or tanks—or for measuring ambient air temperature when the sensor bulb is positioned accordingly. They are commonly used to regulate process temperatures in both safe and hazardous (Zone 1 or 2) environments by switching heating circuits on or off at the desired temperature. Suitable for applications involving gas groups IIA, IIB, or IIC.
