Product description

The G‑Trace GT is a commercial‑ and residential‑grade self‑regulating heating cable engineered to prevent snow and ice accumulation on roofs, gutters and downpipes. Designed for harsh winter conditions, the cable automatically adjusts its heat output based on ambient temperature. In snow or icy water, the G‑Trace GT delivers full power to ensure rapid melting. As the environment warms and water drains away, the cable reduces to half power, and continues to scale down output as temperatures rise. This intelligent self‑regulation prevents overheating and ensures long‑term energy efficiency. The cable can be cut to length during installation, making it suitable for a wide range of roof and gutter configurations. With a UV‑stable, corrosion‑resistant thermoplastic outer jacket, the G‑Trace GT is built for durability, even when installed directly inside plastic gutters.

Product application

The installation of G-trace is quick and simple and requires no special skills or tools. Termination, splicing and power connection components are all provided in convenient kits:

  • Roof de‑icing Prevents ice dams and snow build‑up along roof edges.
  • Gutter and downpipe protection Keeps water flowing freely to avoid blockages and structural damage.
  • Residential buildings Ideal for homes in cold climates requiring reliable winter protection.
  • Commercial facilities Suitable for warehouses, retail buildings, industrial roofs and large gutter systems.
  • Plastic gutter systems Safe for direct installation thanks to its self‑regulating core and stable outer jacket.
  • Areas with heavy snowfall Ensures continuous drainage and reduces maintenance during winter seasons.
