Self-regulating heating cable
Self-regulating heating cables decrease the power if the surface temperature rises, and increase power if the surface temperature drops. The cable provide power where it is needed.
Self-regulating heating cables are used in frost protection and maintaining an even temperature. The technology has many advantages – cable
length can be adjusted as appropriate and they do not overheat if positioned ontop of each other. This facilitates installation on, e.g. flanges and valves.
Backer offers a broad and flexible range of self-regulating heating cables. We have cables that can handle temperatures up to 250°C and wattages up to 90W/m. They are EX-approved.
